Achilles Design is a fast growing design & innovation agency with a deep-rooted track record of developing meaningful innovations for its clients, ranging from young growth businesses to multinationals. With a multidisciplinary team of senior product designers, process & service designers, biomedical engineers, digital, graphic & brand designers, as well as innovation consultants, we are specialists in innovating the core products and processes of our clients.

Driven to create positive user experiences, our core competency is the mastery of the whole creative process from design ideation to industrial mass production and implementation.

Throughout our history, we have registered dozens of patents and won over 50 design awards, both in Belgium and international.

History

Achilles arose from two designers' passion for creating beautiful products.

Founded in 1994, Achilles Design started as a classical product design agency, founded by two designers (Koen Elsen & Jürgen Oskamp) whose passion it was to design ‘beautiful things’. Over the years, Achilles Design added a Service and Brand Design offering. Later on, it expanded into Engineering & Digital and Innovation Design. After surpassing a staff level of 20 during the course of 2018, Achilles hired a CEO (Axel Funhoff), who subsequently also orchestrated a capital increase for Achilles Design in order to accelerate the firm’s growth. During 2019, Achilles Design exceeded 30 employees, and it continues to grow.
