Job description

As a Business Developer you will help to attract more business and to stimulate further growth of our company. In close collaboration with marketing, you will generate relevant leads, coordinate the business development activities and planning of the business development team as well as document all those activities. You will also conduct related market research and strategic analysis.

Key tasks:

You are the facilitator between clients, our marketing, designers and engineers.
You help in preparing and delivering pitches, proposals, and presentations to potential partners and clients.
You regularly analyse the competitive landscape and relevant trends in the industry.
You ensure that all leads receive a proper follow up after our project proposals.
You establish and maintain good relations with our clients, making sure Achilles Design is always top of mind.
You maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products or services.
You ensure the CRM database is up-to-date and utilise it to monitor sales and customer information.
You prepare concise reports on the status of current and potential business development projects.
You assist with contract creation, negotiation, and implementation.
You attend networking events and meetings as a representative of the company.
You coordinate with all departments to ensure effective integration of sales strategies.

Your profile

You have a Masters or Bachelor diploma in a relevant discipline
You have a mature and positive personality
You are a good planner and an excellent communicator overall
You lead the planning around business development and involve relevant seniors
You have high ethical standards and a good sense of initiative and responsibility
You are pragmatic
Language skills: Dutch (very good), English (very good)

Nice to haves

You are a good listener and able to identify relevant business and execution problems in the market, which could be solved by product designers, engineers, service designers or a combination thereof
You are a door opener and a team player; you understand that selling design & engineering projects is a team effort.
