Niko was established in 1919 by the De Backer brothers in the Belgian Sint-Niklaas. They quickly managed to sweep the market with a large range of standard products. Nowadays Niko offers more than 3500 products which are distributed worldwide: switches and sockets, door telephony, videophony, domotics, movement monitors, etcetera.
Niko’s products are known for their easy installation, the user’s comfort, and their design. An extra ace card is the fact that Niko takes the environmental aspects of a product into account during both the design and the production, and during use, and even the removal of it.

The design and technical specifications of the Niko Intense, Niko Pure and Niko Original product lines, which were launched in March 2007, were realised by an intensive cooperation between the Niko designgroup and Achilles Associates. With the first two designs Achilles even managed to scoop a prestigious iF award for product design.

The Niko Original range stands guarantor for quality and timelessness. Its design consists of soft forms which have been realised in a generous colour pallet The Original products blend in discretely within any interior.

Niko Pure is a design range which makes use of exclusive, but durable materials such as bamboo and stainless steel. The range is characterized by an ultra-tight and striking design without frills. The various types of colours and finishes and possible combinations of these, results in Niko Pure belonging in any design interior.

The third range, Niko-Intense also has a tight design, combined with soft lines for a warm touch. This range fits with any contemporary interior, because it is also available in various colour and types of finish with endless combination options.
